Lienox ("the Software") is a local-first application that runs AI agents on your own machine. The agents can, when you instruct them: run shell commands, read and write files, control a web browser, and call third‑party Large Language Model (LLM) providers using keys you supply ("Bring Your Own Key" / BYOK).
By installing or using the Software you agree to these Terms.
The Software executes actions locally with your authorization. You acknowledge that:

You are solely responsible for the agents you create and the actions they take.
The Software sends your prompts and context to the LLM provider you choose, under your account and API key. Your use of those providers is governed by their terms and privacy policies, and you are responsible for their costs and usage limits. We are not a party to that relationship.
Free plan. The Software has a Free plan that requires no card and does not expire. It runs the full application on your machine with capacity limits (projects, chats, concurrent agents, scheduled tasks and public links). The current limits are published at lienox.com/#pricing and served by our pricing API.
Free trial. The Ultra plan can be started with a 17-day free trial. Starting it requires a valid payment method, which is collected and stored by our payment processor (Stripe) — we never see or store your card details. You are not charged during the trial.
Automatic renewal. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your subscription starts automatically at the end of day 17 and the plan price is charged to your payment method. The exact date of the first charge is shown to you before you enter any card details, and again in the app under Settings → Plan. Stripe also emails you a reminder before the trial ends. After the first charge, the subscription renews automatically each period (monthly or annually, as you chose) at the then-current price until you cancel.
One trial per customer. The trial is available only on your account's first subscription. Cancelling and subscribing again does not start a new trial.
Cancelling. You may cancel at any time, with no penalty and no explanation, from Settings → Plan in the app (which opens Stripe's customer portal). If you cancel during the trial you are never charged. If you cancel after the first charge, you keep paid access until the end of the period you already paid for, and you are not charged again; we do not pro-rate refunds for the remainder of that period. Cancelling never deletes your data — the installation drops to the Free plan and keeps running on your machine.
Failed payments. We do not run dunning: a failed charge is not retried for days. If a renewal payment fails, the failed invoice is voided and the plan ends immediately, dropping the account to the Free plan.
Price changes. We may change plan prices. A change never applies to a period you already paid for, and we will notify you before it takes effect on a renewal.
Right of withdrawal (EEA/UK). If you are a consumer in the EEA or the UK you have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the start of a paid subscription. Because the trial means no charge is made for the first 30 days, cancelling during the trial already achieves the same result at no cost. To withdraw from a paid period, write to the contact address below.
Taxes. Prices are in USD and exclude any VAT/sales tax, which is added where applicable by our payment processor.
THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON‑INFRINGEMENT. AI output can be inaccurate; do not rely on it without review.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR PROVIDER COSTS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SOFTWARE.
We may update these Terms; continued use means acceptance. You may stop using the Software at any time.
